Changes to my study programme

I think my career has good subjects but sometimes you expect much more, or expect teachers to change, and so we have a much more transversal knowledge. What I do believe is that there is a great lack in the career in exploiting the stage side of the dance, which is very important, the truth is that we do not have many opportunities to be interpreters and present ourselves at some stage opportunity, or if it happens it is when you are already in more advanced courses.

Regarding teachers I must say that all are very good dancers but not all are good teachers, or at least their pedagogy is not the best many times, despite this, with all the teachers I've had I've learned a lot, and I always appreciate any learning opportunity.

The dance department throughout its history has had many changes in its status and curricular mesh before it was a school of dance very "old school" with violent practices and in order to train rather a classical dancer, now the dance school shapes us to be a contemporary dance dancer also to be interpreter, creator and author.

The faculty of arts in which I study is quite precarious and poor, we do not have many spaces for recreation, nor enough dance halls for the entire career. The main place of recreation is the public passage from outside that is not even ours, but it is the only thing that there is, along with a small terrace that can not supply for all.

Despite all the shortcomings and precariousness that exists and what it means to study an artistic career in this country. I´m always very grateful to study what I study what I have and that it is almost a privilege to study dance.

  5. I think the same thing about teachers, that being good interpreters does not mean that they teach the contents well.
